- Who it helps
- Teams using Slack alongside GitHub repositories.
- Availability
- The August 21 announcement describes a preview for Copilot Business and Enterprise. Organization setup and existing credit rules apply; tenant availability was not tested.
How it works
The announced experience includes GitHub mentions, code-context work and pull-request review within existing permission boundaries. A channel participant’s request does not itself establish repository authorization.
Check the two participant roles
Use a test repository with two roles. Ask both participants to request the same small change, then inspect which actions were permitted and whether the review trail identifies the actual authorizer.
