- Who it helps
- Developers testing agents that create or modify records through tools.
- Availability
- The Apache 2.0 repository documents Python 3.12 and the uv package manager. It uses synthetic tickets and notifications; the review did not install or run it.
A failure can happen after the write
A tool can create a ticket and lose its response. Retrying with a fresh operation key may create a duplicate. The fixtures also cover stale reads and notifications; no real support service is contacted by the simulation.
A passing label has conditions
The documented gate requires completed work, satisfied assertions and required faults that actually fired. Inconclusive runs and engine errors are separate outcomes. A later repair does not erase a recorded earlier violation.
What you can do
- Read the scripted naive, resilient and no-operation examples before interpreting a model-driven run. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
Scripted examples illustrate acceptance rules. They do not establish how an arbitrary language model behaves, and the author’s reported trials were not reproduced.
Sources read. Public evidence checked October 24, 2026 UTC. No third-party software, model inference or complete product workflow was executed.

AgentFaultLab injects failures into a simulated helpdesk so developers can inspect how an agent handles retries and uncertain outcomes.
