The October 6 public beta adds a Claude sidebar to Google Docs, Sheets and Slides on paid Claude plans, with a separate connector path for editing those files from Claude. The sidebar can propose changes for approval. It is useful for teams that want AI help in their existing files. Announcement checked October 16; installation, administrator permissions and editing fidelity were not tested.
