- Who it helps
- Video researchers and creators studying more controlled generation and scene revision.
- Availability
- The October 20 paper, creator gallery and implementation are public. Code uses Apache-2.0, while weights use separate MiniMax H3 Community terms. The repository states geographic exclusions for those weights, including the EU, UK, Republic of Korea and United States.
Keep movement while changing appearance
A guidance video supplies structure over time, while a first frame and prompt guide appearance. The system adds two trainable adapters to a frozen MiniMax H3 backbone. This can separate some motion decisions from appearance decisions, within the model’s constraints.

What the speed figure compares
The authors report a four-step generation method and a 12.3-fold speedup against their fifty-step baseline. That comparison depends on their hardware and settings. The output is rendered video; editable 3D geometry is not established by this result.

What you can do
- Review the example controls, hardware requirements and weight-license eligibility before attempting a local reproduction. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
The creator’s examples and documentation were inspected. No weights were downloaded, no frames were rendered and no speed or control-quality result was independently reproduced.

SolarRenderer generates video guided by an existing structural sequence, such as depth, a skeleton, a sketch or a simple scene rendering.
