- Who it helps
- Teams building agents that reuse project decisions or customer context across sessions.
- Availability
- The public practitioner protocol was reviewed on October 10 by its publisher. It is an evaluation method, with no comparative performance result established here.
Start with an answer you can check
The protocol uses known-answer tasks, recorded tool responses and changes to one memory component at a time. This reduces the chance that a new model or altered external data explains the apparent improvement.
Keep failures interpretable
For a fictional project, store an old deadline, replace it, and ask for the current deadline plus its source. Record whether the agent retrieved the old record, failed to retrieve the new one or reasoned incorrectly after seeing both.
What you can do
- Use a small fictional decision log to label the failure stage before choosing a memory architecture. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
The page describes a practitioner service and protocol. It does not establish that any particular memory product is more reliable.

The record over time (1)
Dated source checks and published explanations. An observation date can differ from the original release date.
ColdAI’s evaluation protocol separates several memory failures: a fact can be absent, stale, retrieved incorrectly or present but ignored. That distinction helps a team choose a useful repair.
