Notion expands agent execution and introduces new AI credits
Notion announced longer agent tasks with computer/browser access and a Standard/Select credit system. Existing customers are scheduled to migrate November 2.
Why it matters
Teams can delegate longer jobs, while recurring automation draws from explicit allowances. That changes how they assign work, check outcomes and budget repeated runs.
What to watch
Watch the November 2 migration, completed-task costs and delivery of usage controls.
Still uncertain. Completion reliability and cost savings remain vendor claims. Enterprise bring-your-own-key access is a private alpha; the command center is forthcoming.

- Who it helps
- Teams using Notion for knowledge work, recurring tasks and shared agent context.
- Availability
- The announcement covers Business and Enterprise credits: 1,500 Standard and 500 Select monthly per seat. New customers enter the system immediately; existing customers move on November 2. Enterprise bring-your-own-key access remains a private alpha.
Longer work changes what needs supervision
Notion describes queued execution that can survive restarts and tasks lasting around 24 hours. A separate model can review proposed actions. These are stated product capabilities; successful completion and action-review reliability still depend on the task.

Cost claims need a workload comparison
Auto chooses models for the task, while selected models and Custom Agents use Select credits. Notion reports lower average costs in its tests; those results do not guarantee savings for a particular team. The AI Command Center is still forthcoming.
