- Who it helps
- People who need to retrieve material spread across old AI chats.
- Availability
- The MIT-licensed repository is public. The author described it on August 22; today’s Show HN appearance does not establish a new release.
Search and open the original
Keyword and meaning-based searches lead back to a conversation and its matching turn. Answers generated with archive citations are described as a future direction, so search results should not be mistaken for a fully implemented cited-answer system.
Choose where continuation runs
Experimental continuation supports local llama.cpp or optional OpenRouter. Choosing the external provider sends conversation context off the device. Vault file writes are separately controlled and disabled by default.

What you can do
- Inspect a disposable export and confirm its original turns before importing an archive or enabling external generation. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
Documentation checked only. Import fidelity, attachment retention and generated answers were not tested. Local storage does not make an external provider local.
Sources read. Sources checked October 28, 2026. No installation, model inference or end-to-end workflow was executed.
