OpenAI API: selected GPT-4 models retire January 14

OpenAI’s October 14 notice schedules selected dated GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.1 mini API models for removal on January 14, 2027, including fine-tuned versions of those base models. This affects applications pinned to the listed identifiers; it is not a blanket ChatGPT product shutdown. Official table checked October 16.
