- Who it helps
- Designers and developers discussing a layout before implementation.
- Availability
- Public MIT specification and Node/Python checkers. No launch date or paid service requirement was established.
A constrained drawing format
The specification defines 44 elements and fixed-width fenced layouts. The checker can flag tabs, broken borders, table-column alignment and inconsistent chart values. Text remains easy to revise alongside a design conversation.
Geometry has a limited meaning
A clean checker result covers the drawing rules. It does not establish that the layout is accessible, usable or correctly implemented in a browser. Treat a wireframe as a proposal to review with its intended users.
What you can do

Where the evidence stops
Repository documentation checked; no checker or interface was run. Usability and compatibility with a particular agent remain untested.

no-fi gives coding agents a small vocabulary for drawing interface layouts in text, with checkers for malformed boxes, tables and other structural errors.
