- Who it helps
- Developers who want a focused review surface for multi-file changes.
- Availability
- The GPL-3.0 repository lists GTK4, GtkSourceView5 and libadwaita dependencies and distribution instructions. Installation and operating-system compatibility were not tested.
Keep the review tied to a revision
A comment is useful when its file, location and source revision are clear. Before handing comments back to an agent, keep the compared revisions stable so that a later edit does not silently move the issue.
Know the tool’s boundary
The README describes a review tool and explicitly excludes three-way merging and file editing. Keep your normal Git workflow for applying changes, resolving conflicts and running tests.
What you can do
- Review the README’s supported environment and compare it with your workstation before trying the application on a disposable repository. Open reference ↗

Twain is a desktop Git-diff viewer intended to make agent-generated changes easier to inspect. It presents files together and supports review comments that an agent can receive through a command-line interface.
