- Who it helps
- Computational biology researchers assessing model artifacts and the limits of language-model assistance.
- Availability
- Public Apache-2.0 model card and release presentation. The card describes a 15B model, a custom tokenizer and roughly 80 GB GPU requirements. Hosted inference was not available on the card at the check.
Read the model card beside the demo
The presentation shows the intended research uses; the card gives the practical constraints. It warns about coordinate errors, weaker task categories and degraded behavior on long generations. The accepted context length therefore does not establish reliable interpretation of every sequence that fits inside it.
Resolve runtime support before planning a run
The creator index lists a separate GGUF artifact while the model card says common GGUF runtimes do not support the custom Python tokenizer. That conflict needs a documented working runtime before a local deployment recommendation. The card also excludes clinical decision-making and does not establish a model trained for new-sequence design.
What you can do
- Review the model’s limitations and confirm a supported tokenizer/runtime combination before allocating research compute. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
No inference or biological experiment was performed. This is a research-artifact review; clinical validity and runtime compatibility have not been established.

Coverage note: The model card, presentation and creator index come from the same project. A runtime compatibility conflict remains unresolved; inference, scientific validity and independent reproduction were not tested.
