- The article and proposed self-assessment rubric are publicly readable. It is a conceptual framework grounded in the authors’ production experience, rather than a validated skills test.
Four kinds of understanding
The authors distinguish AI literacy, production infrastructure, engine and tool integration, and critical judgment. The point is to examine the work needed after generation, including whether the creator can explain and repair it.
Use it as a reflection prompt
For an original animated scene, ask the creator to explain the timing, change one movement and recover a failed render. Record what they can do unaided and where they need help. This is an illustrative teaching exercise, not a scoring method validated by the paper.

Where the evidence stops
The proposed rubric has not been independently validated here. One production account does not establish learning gains or universal competence levels.
