- Who it helps
- Researchers building systems that reason over images and structured data.
- Availability
- The October 19 paper is public. The linked project site could not be read, so code readiness and setup requirements remain unverified.
What the system adds
The harness retains images and structured references and makes tool results readable to the model. Generated programs can perform computations during a visual task.
How to read the gains
The authors evaluate multiple backbones and benchmarks and report gains over tool-free baselines. Those results describe the combined model, tools and evaluation conditions. They do not isolate a universal improvement in the base model.
What you can do
- Compare the baseline, tool access and resource budget before applying the paper’s claims to another task. Open reference ↗
Where the evidence stops
No evaluation was executed. Token budgets do not capture every deployment cost, and independent replication was not established.
Sources read. Sources read October 20, 2026. No installation, model inference or complete external workflow was executed.
