What happens to omitted detail
The documented retrieval mechanism, CCR, puts markers in compressed output and exposes a tool for retrieving the original. The default cache uses SQLite, expires entries after 1,800 seconds and can evict data when its capacity is reached. Retention settings therefore affect what the agent can recover.
Design a check around a small decisive fact
For an original evaluation, create a long fictional incident log with one line saying that a rollback is forbidden during a migration. Ask the agent to recommend the next action with compression on and off. Keep both answers and the retrieval trace. A passing result preserves the constraint and retrieves the original when necessary.

The project’s token-saving claims were not reproduced. Retrieval only helps while the original remains available and the agent actually asks for it.
